Common questions

Before we start.

What does a pre-purchase survey cover?

Its purpose is to assess vessel condition and fitness to inform a buying decision. The precise scope depends on the vessel, access, records, intended use and any specialist inspections agreed.

Can you coordinate engine or rigging specialists?

Yes. Where the scope requires specialist disciplines, Arventis can coordinate their input and integrate findings. Each specialist remains responsible for their own scope.

Who arranges haul-out?

Haul-out is arranged and paid for by the client through the yard. Inspection access and arrangements should be agreed before the survey.

Do you currently provide tonnage certification directly?

Arventis Marine coordinates tonnage measurements and the certification process through the certifying authority and its partners. We manage the process from start to finish, giving clients a single point of contact and relieving them of the need to deal with multiple parties.
